Quality Assurance and Food Safety
HACCP – Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point – is an international food safety standard. Floradale Feed Mill Limited meets this standard and was HACCP certified in June 2001. We maintain this status through an annual, independent audit led by the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada (ANAC) and SGS Canada Inc. All mill processes (e.g. receiving, manufacturing, shipping, etc) are systematically & regularly reviewed, maintained, and monitored to help ensure the production of safe, high quality feed. Through regular review of the HACCP Plan, potential hazards are identified, critical control points and limits are determined, and monitoring and verification procedures are implemented. We continue to support our customers in their on-farm HACCP and Quality Assurance programs, and contribute to the development of related industry initiatives.
